Plymouth Owners Club - Michigan Region
The Michigan Region of the Plymouth Owner's Club, Inc. was formed in 1964 with less than 10 members. Today there are over 75 members of the Detroit Region.
John Robertson and Don Wood are still active members. Rex Yount was the first Detroit Region president, followed by John Robertson. John shortly thereafter became National Plymouth 4 & 6-Cylinder Club (now the Plymouth Owner's Club, Inc.) President.
The Michigan Region has always hosted the "GRAND NATIONAL PLYMOUTH OWNERS MEET," which is held every 10 years (i.e. 1968, 1978, 1988, 1998, 2008, 2018, etc.) in the greater Detroit area.
To join the Michigan Region of the club, you must first become a National Club member. The National Dues are payable at the same time as the Michigan Region Dues.
About the Plymouth Owners Club
Founded in 1957 as the Plymouth 4 Cylinder Owners Club with just three members, today the Plymouth Club recognizes ALL 4, 6 and V8 powered Plymouth cars, Plymouth trucks and Fargo commercial vehicles built from 1928 to the end of production in 2001 that means ALL Plymouths ever made are now recognized by the club. Membership has grown from those first three to over 3,500 members worldwide with members in every U.S. state, most Canadian provinces and over 20 countries overseas. The Plymouth Club has many Regional groups in the United States and Canada. The Plymouth Club has a full complement of Technical Advisors for each model year to assist you with restoration advice for your car. Done on a voluntary basis by members with expertise on their model, this service is also free to members.
Ours is a family oriented organization with membership covering all members of your family. You do not need to own a club recognized vehicle to join. The Plymouth Club invites you to share our enthusiasm and dedication to the preservation and restoration of the Plymouth and Fargo lines and to enjoy the fellowship of our members.
